Corrections
If something here is wrong, say which article and what specifically is wrong. Verified corrections are made on the article itself, with a dated note describing the change.
Tips
The most useful tip is one that comes with a record attached: a police report number, a case or docket number, a bill of lading, a broker or carrier MC number, a dated photograph. Because of the sourcing rule, a tip that cannot be tied to a primary record or confirmed by original reporting cannot become an article on its own.
Useful detail, roughly in order:
- Date, time, and location — the yard, the exit, the lot
- What moved: commodity, load value if known, trailer or container number
- Who was involved: carrier, broker, facility — and how you know
- Whether it was reported, to whom, and any report or case number
- Documents, if you have them and can share them
